In January 2007, Kent and Susan Arnold formed the Abetalipoproteinemia Collaboration Foundation (ACF) as an Ohio non-profit Corporation.
The ACF’s current officers are:
President – Kent Arnold
Vice President – Susan Arnold
Treasurer – Susan Arnold
Secretary – Shelly Rudnick
The ACF is working to fulfill its initiatives by relying on:
1. Pre-Launch Steering Committee – A temporary committee that will give guidance to ACF as well as identify and invite individuals to serve on the Board of Directors and the Scientific Advisory Board.
2. Board of Directors – Volunteer board that helps to guide and oversee the ACF.
3. Scientific Advisory Board – Volunteer board made up of members of the scientific research community that helps ACF:
a. Review any scientific information that is passed on to its members
b. Make recommendations to the Board of Directors about the funding of research projects
4. ACF Staff -
a. Part time Foundation Coordinator.
5. Volunteers -
a. Any individual is encouraged to offer their time to help ACF.
b. ACF would welcome help from anyone who would like to organize a fundraising event.
c. ACF would also welcome anyone who has special training or expertise in a specific area to offer their services to help accomplish the goals of ACF.
