The Center for the Testing, Treatment and Clinical Research for Abetalipoproteinemia along with ACF are in the process of planning the First International Abetalipoproteinemia Conference in Cincinnati, Ohio in the spring of 2008.  Many world renowned physicians and researchers who have studied or treated patients with Abetalipoproteinemia will be invited to attend. 

Anticipated Format:

            For physicians and researchers:

• Invited presentations for colleagues
• Selected sessions may be open for families to attend.
• Closed door sessions for group discussions regarding testing and treatment protocols
• Arrival at consensus statement(s) to be published in an appropriate journal.

For families:

• Limited family program
• Specific sessions will be open to families
• There will be an ability to network with professionals and other families.
